What will I need to bring for the event?

We recommend you wear loose fitting comfortable clothes to participate in both body-based workshops (such as active yielding and guided meditation practice) as well as discussion-based workshops (such Living with Grief and The Afterlife and Faith). You may also wish to bring a change of clothing with you.

If I am coming by car, where is the best place to park?

There is two hour parking on New Beach Road, but we recommend that you park up the hill in Thornton Street in Darling Point, because the parking there is not time limited.   

How do I get to the venue by public transport?

Take a train to Edgecliff Station and then either walk down the hill on New South Head Road to New Beach Road or otherwise catch a 323, 324 or 325 bus. The venue, Critical Path, is the yellow building you see on the left past the Cruising Yacht club. 

Will the Event be Catered?

 Yes, the event will be catered. There will be opportunities to buy lunch and dinner at the venue, as well as drinks and snacks throughout the day. There are also several restaurant options close-by, where it is possible to get lunch and dinner.

Does the venue have facilities for people who are elderly and who have disabilities?

Yes, it does. There is a lift to help you to get to workshops at different levels. The venue is wheelchair accessible. 

If I am travelling from interstate, how do I get to the venue and what accomodation is available close by?

From Sydney airport it is possible to take a train to Edgecliff Station and then either walk down the hill on New South Head Road to New Beach Road or otherwise catch a 323, 324 or 325 bus. The venue, Critical Path, is the yellow building you see on the left past the Cruising Yacht club. 

There are several hotels close-by, including the Vibe Hotel in Rushcutters Bay and Hotel 59, you might also want to rent a room within walking distance through Airbnb.

What do I do if I wish to exchange or re-sell my ticket?  

All Ticket Sales are non-refundable. However, they can be exchanged for a fee of $30 should it turn out that after having purchased your ticket you are unable to come to the festival. In this eventuality, we will do what we can to help you to find another buyer of your ticket. Contact us via email or Facebook. Once you have found a buyer (either through your own networks or ours), we will exchange the name on the ticket for $30.  

Who produces the Sydney Festival of Death and Dying ?

The festival is produced by Xplore Festival Sydney Incorporated (INC 9894818), a non-for profit association registered with Fair Trading NSW.
